When Steve moved from Toronto to Whistler in 1986 he thought it might be for a few years, it turned out to be much longer. As a professional skier and golfer, Whistler was a perfect fit. Steve received my 20 year “Length of Service” award at Whistler/Blackcomb where he had worked on both a full and part-time basis.
Over the past 23 years Steve has been the consultant for both Head Ski Products Race and Freeride Athlete’s, as well as in Product Development for Freeride Line. In 1999 Steve was given the opportunity to take on the job of Head Coach for the Canadian National Snowboard Alpine & Boarder Cross Team.
Steve has traveled extensively to many great resorts, but none of them stack up to what Whistler has to offer. As the Olympic Coach at the 2002 Salt Lake winter games, and having worked there for the three years leading up to the 2010 Games, Steve was able to use firsthand knowledge of what to expect here in Whistler when the world arrived for the 2010 Winter Olympics. With his local and international resort knowledge, Steve is your best asset when it comes to buying or selling in the Whistler area.
On the rare occasion you don’t catch Steve in the office, you’ll most likely find him out enjoying all that the Whistler lifestyle has to offer. It truly is a lifestyle choice and he lives here because of that. Steve is deeply involved in Whistler Minor Hockey as the Head Coach of the Whistler Hockey Initiation program (5 thru 8 year olds) and also runs his own Hockey School every fall. Luckily he is able to share his passions with his wife Andrea and two children Aiden and Taylor, both of whom are avid hockey fans on and off the ice.
