Whistler is an amazing place year round, whether you love snow, sun, piste, dirt or everything in between. However, due to the fact that the area is actually rainforest you will find times when it just rains.
When the rain hits it can sometimes be difficult to know what to do, but you’ll be pleased to know that Whistler has tons to offer even when it’s pouring down.
Here are some of our favourite rainy day activities in Whistler:
One of the most popular (and fun) rainy day activities is to head to Bounce in Function Junction.
Here you will find walls and floors covered with trampolines, along with a sponge pit. Bounce really is a local’s favourite and a great place if you just want to have some fun or even practice your ski and snowboard tricks in safety.
Scandinave Spa is something that everyone coming to Whistler should experience. With a range of spa treatments and a plethora of different pools, you will leave feeling relaxed and at peace with the world!
It is a great place to wind down after a long day or to recover from the many tiring activities that make the town famous.
Why not just head outside and have fun? It’s only rain after all! When the rain comes you can have the trails all to yourself and see Whistler in a whole new light.
Lots of bikers even prefer hitting the trails in the rain, so don’t let a little bit of cloud put you off.
There are lots of classes happening all the time in Whistler including yoga, stretch sessions, fitness classes and much more.
You can find out more information on the official sites of The Core and the RMOW.
Whistler has one cinema – Village 8 – which shows all current movies. When it’s raining why not head down and check out a film.
During the week you can get 2-for-1 tickets and free popcorn by liking the Village 8 Facebook page and printing out the coupon.
There are some incredible restaurants and cafes in the village to suit all tastes and budgets. It is nice to get out the house even when it’s raining, so why not treat yourself.
During shoulder season when the rain is at its peak you will also find lots of fantastic dining deals, offering the highest quality food at very affordable prices!
What better way to spend your rainy day than planning your next Whistler adventure? There’s so much to do in Whistler that sometimes you don’t have a chance to stop and think!
Take this as an opportunity and get planning!
