When people talk about Whistler they always mention the lifestyle. A certain way of life carved out in the mountains by locals, seasonaires, ski bums and tourists. But what is the Whistler lifestyle?
It’s different for everyone and can change with the seasons. Each individual has their own interpretation of life in Whistler, and their own reason for staying in this incredible town.
We talked to some of our Realtors to get their own personal view of the Whistler lifestyle and what it means to them:
“Its the people! To me the ‘Whistler Lifestyle’ means connecting with amazing people from all over the world, having fun together, and thriving in a community filled with endless opportunity.” – Lindsay Graham
“The best part about living in Whistler for me is that I can have a satisfying career while still finding time to get out in nature to explore and enjoy the mountains, all literally just outside my office door.” – Dean Linnell
“I love the fact that we live in a world class resort, and that as realtors, we help many families buy properties here so they can have the family experience that we have.
My family, including 10 grandchildren, all live here. It really is magical and we love all the sports and activities available – it’s the perfect balance of work and play.
My SUV is usually loaded with my bike and golf clubs or a pair of skis or two in the winter, and I’m always ready to dine out in one of our many favourite restaurants!” – Lynne Venner
“I love our community of people who are stoked on life, along with the incredible beauty and year round experiences whether skiing, mountain biking, or enjoying a quiet morning paddle on the lake with my kids.
This, combined with the incredible Village and Resort amenities and amazing people attracted here that I get to work with as clients, makes Whistler the best place on Earth.” – Dave Burch
As you can see everyone has a different take on what this lifestyle means to them. The Whistler experience is unique to each individual and it is up to you to make it whatever you want!
