We’d like to introduce you to our newest agent, Damien Amirault.
With over 20 years in luxury hospitality assisting clients from all over the world, Damien knows Whistler inside and out and is ready to assist you in your home buying or selling process. As a true East Coaster, having grown up in Halifax, he is genuinely friendly, easy-going, and trustworthy. He loves how Whistler allows you to achieve the perfect work-life balance – and is ready to help his future clients achieve it too. Let’s learn a little more about Damien.
We need to put clients needs first to ensure they are receiving the highest level of service possible. Communication is key and I believe that listening is the most important quality that a Realtor can possess. I want to exceed expectations and make sure that clients get exactly what they want and will do so by understanding what is important to them.
After a full season of training as a brakeman in a two person bobsled, my pilot and I put down the fastest time and won the BC bobsled championship. Winning the competition was a thrill, but what I’m really proud of is my track record of completing all of my runs without ever crashing. I’ve been told this has never been accomplished by anyone who has dozens of runs under their belt on the world’s fastest Olympic track. I’m now retired from the sport and plan to keep this record intact forever!
In my previous career as a Concierge in luxury hospitality, I truly enjoyed helping others make the most out of their Whistler experience. This translates directly to real estate as I want to do the same by connecting people with the property that makes them happy and excited to be in our mountain town. I love this place and know you will too!
Upon arrival in BC I spent my first month living and working aboard a 50 year old fishing boat in the Salish Sea, harvesting oysters from the shores of Denman Island while feasting on delicious crab. Expansive mountain views, ocean scenery and fabulous sunsets where the beginning of my new life on the west coast.
My ideal day would start early to get into the alpine and ski deep powder, followed by a quick apres on a patio with friends. From there we’d load up bikes and head out for a few laps on some of the legendary Sea to Sky trails. Top it off with a visit to a local brewery for tasty food, pints and live music while the alpenglow disappears in the distance.
Although it’s more of a landscape and meeting place, the Olympic Plaza & stage is probably my favorite structure in Whistler. With an iconic roof construction, this state-of-the-art outdoor performance facility and community space is set against one of Whistler’s most dramatic backdrops. It demonstrates our sense of community by showcasing arts, sports and mountain culture with free live outdoor concerts, beer & music festivals, skating rink and a big screen for films & events such as deep summer, dirt diaries and Olympic game screenings (just to name a few).
