How a 10th Share Works
At Nature’s Door owners reserve in advance, five weeks of time, each vacation planning year, 2 weeks in the winter, 2 weeks in the summer and one shoulder season week. Additionally, owners are able to enjoy staying at Nature’s door beyond their 5 weeks by participation within the ‘Owner to Owner’ rental program or by reserving one of the three guest suites located At Nature’s Door.
What is Included in the Strata Fee
Quarterly fees at Nature’s Door are all inclusive. The only additional costs you will accrue are for things like requesting additional services or stays through the “owner to owner” rental program, in one of the 3 guest suites or for your participation in ALL – Accor Live Limitless Diamond loyalty membership and the Hotel and Residential Reciprocal Use Programs.
The Buying Process
The buying process mirrors that of traditional real estate. When you purchase at Nature’s Door you are registered on title as a 1/10th fee simple owner. Your fee simple ownership can be bought or sold at your discretion.

“We purchased our share At Nature’s Door over 20 years ago and it was honestly one of the best decisions we’ve ever made for our family. At the time, we had two young sons—one just learning to walk.
In the early days at At Nature’s Door, we would invite other young families up with us and all the kids loved hanging out in the lodge playing with the toys or playing in the pool and hot tubs (sadly for me, my kids loved the pool in both the summer and the winter—so I was in that pool with them a LOT!). For the adults, we could play games in the lodge or enjoy the fire and hot tubs outside. The bunk room at our house was always a messy pile of kids and their gear–it was wonderful.
In the summer, we all enjoyed the grassy slopes of the mountain and would walk down to Creekside. In the winter, the kids loved sledding on the hill adjacent to our unit. Our family and guests spent hours building puzzles, doing board games, or just chatting in the hot tub.
As the boys got older and learned to love skiing and hiking, those became the favorite Whistler activities. We continued to invite friends with similarly aged kids and created a treasure trove of traditions and memories. Kids’ movie night at the lodge was a favorite for the boys, and, of course, the reception on Saturday night was one of our highlights. The proximity of the slope meant as the boys got older, they could easily have more independence on the mountain—heading out with their friends on their own timeline and meeting us later for a meal and conversation. They’d often meet up with friends from Seattle and we’d end up feeding 10+ hungry teens after a ski day—luckily the kitchen was well-suited for cooking big meals.
As for us, we’ve hosted groups of our various friends for ski weekends, golf outings, hiking, and even some business trips. We’ve invited family members and gifted an occasional At Nature’s Door week to a treasured friend celebrating a milestone. Now, the boys are in their 20’s and have had the opportunity to use At Nature’s Door independently as they hosted their own friends.
At Nature’s Door is integrated into the fabric of our family’s collective memory and contributes to the close bonds we all share with each other. We’re so grateful to have found this place.”
