Meet Our Agent: Danielle Twogood

• What drew you to real estate? 

I’ve always loved making people happy. I chose to live here in beautiful Whistler because it makes me happy. I feel excited that I’m able to give this gift and feeling to other people.

• What is your favourite part about being a realtor? 

Meeting and connecting with people, in this business you have the ability to meet people from all over the world.
I love learning about other cultures, experiences, stories, travel recommendations. I feel very lucky to be able to meet new people often, it’s a great way to remain open minded. A little reminder that the world is so big and there is lots to experience, no matter what age you are.

• Where’s your favourite place to eat out?

This is a tough one. I have a few, but I must say Quattro Restaurant, always great service and food. For something more fun I’d say Mexican Corner – they make great margaritas and the food is awesome!
I also really love hitting up Bar Oso for some tapas style eats. Lastly, nothing beats a take out pizza or some sushi and having a picnic by the lake of an evening.

• What do you think are the most important qualities of a realtor?

As a realtor, I try to make sure I’m aware of my client’s needs. Different people operate differently and I always like to understand how best to work with others.

I think it’s important to show up in the way you say you will, educate people so they are best informed, and be able to approach situations with an open mind, analytical thinking and understanding. It’s never the same day in real estate!

• Tell us something most people wouldn’t know about you.

I don’t like ice cream. The texture and the temperature.  Crazy I know.

• What’s your perfect day in Whistler?

Small sleep in, coffee and breakfast on my deck, late morning paddleboard and swimming day, then some gardening or art creating in the afternoon, followed by a charcuterie picnic at the lake or a friends house for a bbq and a bike ride home.

• In one sentence, why should people live here?

Balance. Whistler living provides the balance we all need in this busy busy world we live in. You have space to breathe, play, work, connect.

It’s really special.

• What is your biggest accomplishment outside of real estate? 

Packing up my life and moving to the other side of the world to Whistler in my mid 20’s.
I knew no one, had 1 suitcase, no home, no friends, no job – yet from scratch, I created this beautiful life I now live here.
