We’d like to introduce you to our newest agent, Erica Lawson.
Erica ventured to Whistler from Ontario at the age of 18, immersing herself in the mountain town’s charm, as she explored her new home alone. Her first few weeks in Whistler were filled with late September sunshine, absolute freedom, and an overwhelming feeling of belonging.
Erica returned to school, to pursue business studies at BCIT, and commenced her career at Blueshore Financial. Known for her exceptional client service, negotiating skills, and getting things done; Erica is dedicated to helping clients through the highly competitive world, of the Whistler Real estate market.
A passionate hockey player, mountain biker, skier, and trail runner, Erica is a well-known figure in the community. Her love for adventure and the outdoors shines through in everything she does.
With two children embracing the Whistler lifestyle, Erica’s ties to the community have grown deeper. Erica is committed to welcoming adventure-loving professionals to the town and assisting them in finding their dream homes.
Outside of real estate, what are you passionate about?
Similar to most Whistler locals, I am deeply passionate about mountain biking, snowboarding, and trail running. Additionally, I am an extremely dedicated hockey player. Growing up in Ottawa, my passion for hockey has been a significant part of my life. I have participated in high-level play, coached, and experienced life changing pond hockey games. Competitive hockey has greatly influenced my personality. I see similarities between real estate and hockey, as both demand exceptional communication, empathy, hard work, and a drive for success.
What is your favourite outdoor activity to do in Whistler?
My favourite outdoor activity in Whistler is mountain biking. Mountain biking offers infinite room for creativity, while pushing the boundaries of physical and mental endurance.
There is absolutely no better feeling, than riding with friends on a sunny day.
Are there any annual events or festivals in Whistler/Pemberton that you always look forward to?
The Crankworx bike festival holds great significance for our family. Being the largest bike festival in the world, it draws in hundreds of thousands of visitors to our charming town. Particularly special to us, Erica’s husband leads as the designer and head builder of the main slopestyle event. Our children love being involved, and can be seen moving rocks in the “boneyard” and assisting with digging on the slopestyle course during the festival. This event truly ignites a unique excitement in Whistler that is unparalleled.
What is your go-to-place for a bite to eat?
My favorite place to eat is the Alpine Cafe. It offers fantastic live music, is locally owned, serves delicious food, and has a wonderful neighborhood ambiance.
Other top picks include Rim Rock, Sushi Village, Pasta Lupinos, and Caramba.
