A: I was a ski bum in Whistler fresh out of college then came back to live here three years later around 1988. I was in real estate back home in Ontario but skiing was my passion and is what brought me back out here.
A: I grew up in a real estate family – my dad died at 83 and worked for 53 years in real estate, and he was still selling at 83!
After coming back out to Whistler in December ’87 I skied that season and began work at Whistler Real Estate in May ’88.
A: I like being surrounded by like-minded people. We all drink the same Kool-Aid so to speak! Everyone here has a passion for the mountains, skiing, biking, and the general beauty of the area. Combine it with fine dining, arts, and proximity to Vancouver and it has everything.
A: Find the right agent that you’re comfortable with, do your due diligence, and be ready to move when the time is right. Obviously product knowledge is key for agents, and it’s the same for buyers when it comes to making the right decision.
A: As a kid I wanted to be a stuntman! But, if I wasn’t a Realtor I would have probably gone into the financial sector.
A: Work for me is what makes me tick, but I love hand-cycling, lake kayaking, and sitting on a patio with good wine and good friends.
A: That they become friends. The vast majority of my clients I end up socialising with, to the point of even traveling with. You meet such incredibly interesting people from all over the world and we’re so fortunate to be in the melting pot that is Whistler.
A: Spending time with my daughter and friends.
A: My daughter is 12 and it’s paradise for a kid to be able to grow up in this environment. You have everything you could want here. I wish I’d grown up here!
A: Having a daughter.
A: It’s heaven on earth.
